The Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in theoretical physics (area open) beginning Fall 2018. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Associate Professor possible. The physics department has six faculty members with active research programs; for more information see The department graduates on average 15-20 physics majors each year, roughly one-half of whom are women or under-represented minorities. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely-related field completed by the start of the position, teach at all levels of a rigorous undergraduate physics curriculum, and develop an active research program involving undergraduates. We are dedicated to the development of faculty who are committed to inclusive practices in teaching, learning, and working.
